ANNIE FIGENSHU attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she received her BFA in Drama. She is currently in Chicago City Limits' Resident Company after performing with their National Touring Company for two years. She is a member of Comedy Sportz New York, which also performs at the famous Improv Comedy Club. Constantly developing new material, Annie performs her original comedy throughout the city at Poole Party, the Magnet Theatre, New York City's East Coast Funny Women Fest, and the People's Improv Theatre.

Annie has improvised in Luck of the Draw (the Garage Theatre, The PIT, The Improv), Monday Night Musical (The Pit), Melodious Din (The Trilogy Theatre), and goga (Bank St. Theatre, Melbourne Int'l Comedy Festival, Auckland Foolfest). She performed sketch comedy with Mouth and Two All Beef Patties.

She has been on MTV's Date My Mom and Cut to the Chase for TBS.

Her theatre credits include Night of the Living Dead…The Musical! (Mom), Swingtime Canteen (Jo Sterling), and I Ought to Be in Pictures (Libby Tucker).

As a singer and musician, Annie co-wrote and sang the original theme to Vincent Varnado's film Blackfist. She has also recorded songs with acoustic rock band The Hillary Step.

Trained in Musical Theatre, Directing, Acting, and Comedy, Annie teaches elementary, high school, and college students throughout the country.
